On October 5th, MIT.nano’s Cryo-EM facility celebrated its opening with a day-long symposium hosted by the Department of Biology. The presenters had department affiliations ranging from biology and chemistry to mathematics to electrical engineering and computer science, highlighting the diverse and exciting research that will now be possible on MIT’s campus. As part of the symposium, Cathy had the opportunity to present a talk titled “Obtaining Snapshots of Enzymes in Action using Cryo-Electron Microscopy.”
