Congratulations to Emily Damato

MIT undergraduate Emily Damato has been chosen as an MIT EECS-Lincoln Laboratory Undergraduate Research and Innovation Scholar, receiving funding through the prestigious EECS Research and Innovation Scholars Program.  Emily will work in the Drennan lab as a SuperUROP on her project  Automating Electron Microscope (EM) Particle Reconstruction with Machine Learning, under the mentorship of Ed Brignole, Research Scientist in the Drennan lab.  This will be Emily’s second year with the group; she was a UROP student in 2016-2017.    

Students participating in SuperUROP, or Advanced Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, participate in a year-long research experience, learning how to design an experiment, how write a research paper, and how to present at a conference.
